Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Departure to Greece

Begin your adventure with an overnight flight to Athens, the heart of ancient Greece. As they say in Greece – Kaló taxídi (Safe travels)!

Day 2: Welcome to Athens

Arrive in Athens and meet your Travel Director before transferring to your centrally located hotel. Take some time to settle in and soak up your new surroundings. This evening, gather with your group to enjoy your first taste of Greek cuisine at a festive welcome dinner.

Day 3: Exploring Athens

Dive into Athens’ rich history and architectural wonders with a guided tour led by a local expert. Climb to the Acropolis to marvel at the iconic Parthenon, a timeless symbol of Athens and its devotion to the goddess Athena. This evening, immerse yourself in Greek culture with a lively evening of traditional music and dance.

Day 4: Corinth Canal, Epidaurus, Pottery Class, and Nafplio

Journey westward, stopping at the impressive Corinth Canal, a marvel of engineering that connects the Aegean and Ionian Seas. Visit the ancient site of Epidaurus, home to one of the best-preserved amphitheaters in the world, renowned for its perfect acoustics. Next, explore the ancient site of Mycenae, where a local guide will take you through its storied history, including the Lion Gate, Royal Tombs, and Acropolis. Later, visit a pottery workshop, where you’ll learn ancient techniques and craft your own piece of pottery under the guidance of a skilled artisan. Continue to the seaside town of Nafplio, known for its Venetian architecture and charming atmosphere. Spend the evening strolling its cobblestone streets and enjoying a delicious dinner before settling in for an overnight stay in this picturesque town.

Day 5: Mycenae and Delphi

After breakfast in Nafplio, spend some free time exploring the markets and shops Nafplio. Later, journey to Delphi, the center of the ancient Greek world. Upon arrival, visit the Temple of Apollo and learn about the Oracle of Delphi, where ancient Greeks sought divine guidance. In the evening, experience Greek hospitality by sharing a home-cooked meal with local families before settling in for an overnight stay in Delphi.

Day 6: Meteora

Travel to Kalambaka, a picturesque town nestled at the foot of the Meteora rock formations. Witness the breathtaking beauty of Meteora, home to majestic Byzantine monasteries perched atop towering rock pillars. Learn about their history and significance as you explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 7: Athens – The Heart of the City

Return to Athens and spend the afternoon exploring the vibrant Plaka district, Athens’ oldest neighborhood, nestled under the shadow of the Acropolis. Wander through its charming streets filled with local boutiques, artisan shops, and bustling cafés. Take in the lively atmosphere as you shop for unique souvenirs or simply enjoy the energy of the city. As the sun begins to set, head to Mount Lycabettus, the highest point in Athens, for an unforgettable panoramic view of the city bathed in golden light. Watch as the Parthenon glows against the evening sky, and the city below comes alive!

Day 8: Aegean Island Cruise

Set sail on a full-day cruise to the Saronic Islands of Aegina, Poros, and Hydra. Discover the islands’ vibrant art, rich history, and natural beauty as you explore their charming villages. Enjoy lunch on board and return to Athens in the evening for a celebratory farewell dinner.

Day 9: Departure

Say goodbye to Greece as you transfer to the airport for your journey home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Greek adventure.
