Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Overnight Flight
Board your overnight flight to Rome, Italy.

Day 2 - Rome
Arrive in Rome. After collecting your luggage and clearing customs meet your Travel Director, board your private motor coach and transfer to your centrally located hotel. Later enjoy an orientation walk before your welcome dinner.

Day 3 - Rome
This morning a guided tour will introduce you to the sites of ancient Rome. Explore the Colosseum - one of the most impressive sights in Rome and one of the world’s most famous venues that would hold gladiatorial games and drama to battles of exotic animals and battleships. The building was completed in 80 A.D. and at its peak held 87,000 spectators. You’ll also visit the Forum and later participate in Gladiator School at Castrum Legionis. After dinner, enjoy a walk around the Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps and finish your night with a gelato at the Trevi Fountain.

Ensure a Return to Rome

Legend has it that if you throw a coin over your shoulder into the Trevi Fountain that you will return to Rome. Throw two and you will fall in love, throw three and you’ll get married. This legend is so popular that every day over 3,000 Euros are collected from the water and given to a local charity that supports families in need throughout Rome.

Day 4 - Rome
A local guide will introduce you to the smallest state in the world, Vatican City, situated in Rome. This is the home of the Pope but also home to almost 1,000 other residents. You’ll visit Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, Saint Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Gardens. You will have the opportunity to meet with a retired member of the Swiss Guard - a force dedicated to the protection of the Pope. Later, you’ll take an interactive cooking lesson on the art and tradition of making tiramisu. Tonight, fly from Rome to Paris!

Day 5 - Paris
Today, enjoy a guided tour of Paris focusing on important Parisian sights such as the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysées and the Opera House. This evening, take a Seine River cruise to see the city illuminated at night!

Day 6 - Paris
This morning visit the Palace of Versailles and learn about the life in the court of Louis XIV, Le Roi Soleil as you walk around the palace and the opulent gardens. You will have a picnic lunch in the elegant gardens before returning to Paris for a cooking lesson with a local chef.

An Artist’s Haven

You’ll have to climb 270 steps to get to the top of the hill in Montmartre to visit Paris’ second most visited site, Sacré Coeur. From here you can also enjoy panoramic sweeping views of the city. including a birds eye view of the Eiffel Tower. Montmartre is a lovely area with fantastic restaurants and cafes, art galleries and museums. Van Gogh, Picasso, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec are just a few of the great artists who lived or painted in Montmartre.

Day 7 - Paris
This morning take part in a local community service activity. Later, climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower to marvel at the views of the city. In the evening enjoy a stroll around Montmartre and the spectacular Basilica of Sacré-Coeur.

Day 8 - London
This morning take the high-speed Eurostar from Paris to London. Later today, start exploring on an orientation walk around iconic landmarks such as Regent Street and Piccadilly Circus. In the evening enjoy a typical "fish and chips" dinner followed by a walk around Covent Garden.

Day 9 - London
Today, enjoy a guided tour the city, including highlights such as Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Hyde Park, St Paul's Cathedral and Buckingham Palace (including the Changing of the Guard if available). Later, meet with a former British Ambassador for an engaging discussion on peace and diplomacy.

Six Ravens

A centuries old legend has it that six ravens have to be present at the Tower of London at all times, otherwise the kingdom and the tower will fall. Currently there are seven ravens at the Tower, six plus a spare! Their names are Jubilee, Harris, Gripp, Rocky, Erin, Poppy and Merlina. See if you can spot any of the ravens on your visit to the infamous castle.

Day 10 - London
Visit the Tower of London with a Beefeater as your guide. Also called Yeomen Warders, this force was charged with guarding the palace and the crown jewels. In the afternoon have fun learning how to play cricket, England’s national sport. In the evening, take in a show at one of the 39 theaters in London’s West End.

Day 11 - Dublin
This morning, fly across the Irish Sea to Dublin. Today, you will learn about Ireland’s struggle for independence from Britain during a visit to The General Post Office to learn about the 1916 Easter Rising.

Dublin Castle

Constructed in the early thirteenth century on the site of a Viking settlement, Dublin Castle served for centuries as the headquarters of English, and later British, administration in Ireland. In 1922, following Ireland’s independence, Dublin Castle was handed over to the new Irish government.

Day 12 - Dublin
Enjoy a sightseeing tour with a local guide including visits to St. Patricks Cathedral and Trinity College to see the Book of Kells, which contains four gospels that were written in 384 AD. Later, go shopping on Grafton Street, and take a stroll through St. Stephen’s Green.

Day 13 - Dublin
Travel through the Irish countryside to visit Blarney Castle, famed for the Blarney Stone, which grants those who kiss it the “gift of the gab”. Later, see Cahir Castle and the Rock of Cashel Cathedral and gain insight into the region’s rich cultural history. Return to Dublin for your farewell dinner.

Day 14 - Departure Day
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to USA.
