Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Departure Day
Board your overnight flight to Iceland.

Day 2 - Reykjavik
Welcome to Iceland, the Land of Fire and Ice. Your first stop today is at the world famous, Blue Lagoon, relax with your friends in the warm waters of a geothermal spa. Later, continue on to Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Reykjavik
Travel to the Golden Circle today to see some unique geological and geothermal features. Your first stop is at the Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant. Then visit the Frioheimar tomato greenhouse and taste tomatoes grown using geothermal technologies. Continue to the Geysir Geothermal Area with its hot springs, geysers and waterfalls the Golden Waterfall which is one of the most impressive in Europe. Finally, you'll head to Þingvellir, home of the world's oldest democratic parliament and the site of the dividing fault line between two of earth’s tectonic plates. Return to Reykjavik for overnight.

Day 4 - Reykjavik
This morning drive to the mountainous area around the Eyjafjallajökull Volcano. Visit the Lava Centre, this interactive educational exhibition depicts the volcanic activity that created Iceland over millions of years. Afterwards drive to the Solheimajökull (House of the Sun) Glacier for a hike along this beautiful terrain.

Experts in Renewable Energy

Iceland is ranked as one of the eco-friendliest countries in the world. Almost all of the energy supply in Iceland (85%) is produced using renewable energy sources, notably geothermal and hydro power. Compare that with the16% share of renewable energy produced in the United States. Reykjavik is already considered the leading renewable energy capital in the world and is working towards the goal of being a carbon-neutral city by 2040.

Day 5 - London
This morning depart Reykjavik for London, and enjoy a guided tour the city, including highlights such as Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Hyde Park, St Paul's Cathedral and Buckingham Palace (including the Changing of the Guard if available). In the evening enjoy a typical "fish and chips" dinner.

Day 6 - London
Visit the Tower of London with a Beefeater as your guide. Also called Yeomen Warders, this force was charged with guarding the palace and the crown jewels. In the afternoon, enjoy time exploring around Covent Garden and Leicester Square. In the evening, take in a show at one of the 39 theaters in London’s West End.

Tower of London

A centuries old legend has it that six ravens have to be present at the Tower of London at all times, otherwise the kingdom and the tower will fall. Currently there are seven ravens at the Tower, six plus a spare! Their names are Jubilee, Harris, Gripp, Rocky, Erin, Poppy and Merlina. See if you can spot any of the ravens on your visit to the infamous castle.

Day 7 - London
This morning travel to Oxford, where you will take a walking tour that includes a visit to Christ Church College which served as the inspiration for Hogwarts in JK Rowlings’ popular Harry Potter books. See the stairway and the Great Hall which will be familiar to lovers of the film series, and explore this iconic British university town.

Day 8 - London
Today, travel to Windsor, England, home to Windsor Castle, a residence of the British Royal Family. Built by William The Conqueror in the 11th century, the castle was extensively remodeled by subsequent monarchs. Take a tour of the castle, and enjoy some free time in this beautiful, British town.

Day 9 - Edinburgh
This morning, travel from London to Edinburgh. After settling into your hotel, take an afternoon walking tour of Edinburgh City Center.  Visit the Royal Mile, Old Town, Princes Street, Charlotte Square and the Scott Monument. Tonight, take a guided walk along the Harry Potter trail.

Day 10 - Edinburgh
Today, enjoy a full day excursion to the Trossachs National Park including a boat trip on Loch Lomond. Later, continue on for a visit to Stirling Castle.

Day 11 - Edinburgh
Take a guided tour of Edinburgh Castle, where you will be able to see the crown jewels. Later, hike up Arthur’s Seat in Holyrood Park and take in the incredible views of the city. Later, enjoy some free time for shopping the many markets and speciality shops. Tonight, join your group’s farewell traditional Ceilidh dinner.

Day 12 - Departure Day
Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
