Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Boston
Depart for Boston, the capital of Massachusetts and New England’s largest city. Meet your local Program Director and transfer to your hotel. Later this afternoon, enjoy an orientation walk of Boston’s historic neighborhoods Beacon Hill and Back Bay before your welcome dinner.

Day 2 - Boston
Start your day with a fun and unique tour of Boston by land and by sea on a Duck Tour, aboard a replica of a WWII amphibious vehicle. After lunch, visit the first university in the US, Harvard University, and explore Harvard Square.

Day 3 - Boston
Take a walk along the 2.5 mile long Freedom Trail and discover some of Boston’s most famous sites, including Old State House, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere’s House, Old North Church and the Bunker Hill Monument. After lunch, go back to 1773 and visit the site of the Boston Tea Party and learn about one of the most infamous events that changed the course of America’s history.

Boston Common is the oldest public park in the United States. It dates back to 1634.

Day 4 - Coastal Maine

This morning drive north to the coast of Maine. Your first stop will be at the Nubble Lighthouse where you’ll take in your first views of the coast of Maine. After lunch, you’ll walk the Marginal Way, a cliff walk along the Atlantic Ocean that will take you from the little fishing village of Perkin’s Cove to Ogunquit’s town center. Enjoy the rest of your day at the beach and exploring Ogunquit’s souvenir stores, cafes and ice cream shops.

Day 5 - Coastal Maine

Today you will visit Kennebunkport, a beautiful coastal town known for fishing, lobster rolls and it’s beautiful beaches. Take to the sea aboard a schooner sail boat where you’ll have incredible views of the rocky coastline of the Atlantic. Remember to keep an eye out for seals and the residence of President George H.W. Bush and family. Later this afternoon, visit Old Orchard Beach, and have fun along it’s 7-mile beach, shopping it’s historic beach pier or going on the rides at it’s boardwalk amusement park!

Maine produces over 90% of the U.S. lobster supply. Lobsters are believed to be able to live to over 100 years old and can grow up to four feet long!

Day 6 - Coastal Maine

Today visit Portland, Maine on Casco Bay. Take a guided bike tour of two historic lighthouses, Bug Light and Spring Point Light, and take a walk along a granite breakwater that was built to protect Portland’s harbors long ago. This afternoon, walk the cobblestone streets and historic harbor of Portland and enjoy some free time for shopping or to grab some snacks from a local cafe or ice cream shop. Tonight, attend your farewell dinner.

Day 7 - Departure Day
