Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Overnight Flight
Board your overnight flight bound for Madrid, Spain.

Day 2 - Madrid
Arrive into Madrid, meet your local Program Director and transfer to your centrally located hotel. Later today, start exploring on an orientation walking tour of the city. In the evening enjoy your first dinner in Spain!

Day 3 - Madrid
Today, enjoy a guided tour of Madrid, including the major highlights of the city such as the Royal Palace, the Plaza de España and the Paseo de la Castellana. This afternoon, visit the Prado Museum to see works by artists such as Goya, El Greco and Velázquez. This evening, take part in an interactive cooking class and learn how to make some traditional dishes that you will have for dinner!

Day 4 - Madrid
This morning, visit a local market, and pick up some items to make a picnic lunch! Later, head to the beautiful Retiro Park where you will have a picnic lunch, row boats in the lake and try the local Horchata drink. This evening join a tapas dinner, and later take a walk to get chocolate con churros at the famous Chocolatería de San Ginés!

Day 5 - Madrid
Take a day trip to Toledo, the former capital of Spain. A local guide will introduce you to the highlights of the city, including visits to the stunning gothic cathedral, the Santa Maria la Blanca synagogue and the Santo Tomé chapel to admire the famous painting, Burial of the Count of Orgaz, by El Greco. Later return to Madrid for dinner.

Day 6 - Seville
This morning, take the high-speed AVE train to Seville, the capital of Andalusia. Your Program Director will take you on an orientation walking tour of the city, and later, you’ll take a flamenco dance class, followed by a traditional flamenco show and dinner!

Day 7 - Seville
This morning enjoy an in-depth sightseeing tour of Seville, and see highlights of the city, such as Plaza de España, the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. You will also have the opportunity to ascend La Giralda, the bell tower of the Seville cathedral to admire wonderful views of the city. In the afternoon enjoy some kayaking along the beautiful River Guadalquivir.

Day 8 - Madrid
This morning, take the high-speed AVE train back to Madrid. Enjoy some free time this afternoon shopping in Madrid for some last minute souvenirs! This evening join your farewell dinner, and take a walk to see some of Madrid’s most famous sites illuminated at night!

Day 9 - Departure Day
Transfer by private motor coach to the Madrid airport for your return flight home.
