Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight Flight

Begin your adventure with an overnight flight from Boston to Nice.

Day 2: Arrival in Nice

Upon arrival in Nice, meet your local Program Director and transfer to the city! Take an orientation walking tour through the vibrant streets of Nice, where you’ll explore the charming Old Town, stroll along the Promenade des Anglais, and take in the stunning Mediterranean views. Later check into your hotel, and join your group for your welcome dinner.

Day 3: Excursion to Monaco and Eze

Today, you’ll embark on an exciting day trip to the glamorous principality of Monaco. Visit the Prince's Palace, the famous Monte Carlo Casino, and the cathedral where Princess Grace is buried. On the way back, stop in the medieval village of Eze, perched high above the coast, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views and visit a traditional perfumery.

Day 4: Journey to the Avignon Area with a Stop in Aix-en-Provence

Leave Nice and drive towards the Avignon area, stopping en route in Aix-en-Provence. In Aix, you’ll wander through the elegant streets, visit lively markets, and admire the beautiful fountains and architecture that make this city so special. Continue your journey to the Avignon area, where you’ll settle in for the night.

Day 5: Excursion to Nîmes, Pont du Gard, and Les Baux

Today, explore the wonders of Provence with visits to three iconic sites. Begin in Nîmes, a city known for its Roman heritage, including the well-preserved Arena of Nîmes. Next, marvel at the ancient Pont du Gard, a stunning Roman aqueduct that spans the Gardon River. Finish the day in Les Baux-de-Provence, a hilltop village known for its dramatic scenery and medieval fortress.

Day 6: Drive to Barcelona with a Visit to Carcassonne

Depart from the Avignon area and head to Barcelona. Along the way, stop in the fortified city of Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its medieval walls, towers, and cobbled streets before continuing your journey to Barcelona.

Day 7: Guided Visit of Barcelona

Spend the day discovering the vibrant city of Barcelona with a local guide. Visit iconic landmarks such as the La Sagrada Família, Park Güell, and the Gothic Quarter. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of La Ramblas and take in the city’s unique blend of modernist and Gothic architecture.

Day 8: Fly to Granada and Visit the Alhambra

This morning, take a flight from Barcelona to Granada. In the afternoon, experience the awe-inspiring Alhambra, a majestic Moorish palace and fortress complex. Enjoy a guided tour through its intricate courtyards, lush gardens, and magnificent halls, learning about its rich history and architectural wonders.

Day 9: Excursion to Córdoba

Take a day trip to Córdoba, a two-hour drive from Granada. Here, explore the breathtaking Mezquita, a unique mosque-cathedral that reflects the city’s diverse cultural history. Wander through Córdoba’s historic streets, filled with flower-filled patios and vibrant local life. After your visit, return to Granada for your farewell dinner.

Day 10: Departure Day

Conclude your adventure as you transfer to the airport for your return flight home, filled with unforgettable memories of the French Riviera, Provence, and Spain.
