Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Overnight Flight

Board your overnight flight bound for Rome, Italy.

Day 2 - Rome

Arrive in Rome. Meet your Travel Director at the airport and take a private motor coach to your centrally located hotel. Start exploring the city during an orientation walking tour before your group welcome dinner.

Day 3 - Rome
This morning discover the jewels of the Renaissance on a guided visit to Vatican City. A local expert will guide you through St. Peter’s Basilica as well as the Vatican Museums to see highlights such as the Sistine Chapel. Enjoy a free afternoon, and later this evening join your Travel Director for an evening walking tour around Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps and cap off your night at the Trevi Fountain.

Day 4 - Rome
Today your focus will be on the monumental vestiges of the Rome Empire. A licensed local guide will give you a private tour around the Colosseum and Forum. Enjoy a free afternoon and evening to explore Rome at your own pace and according to your own personal interests, your Travel Director will provide ideas and tips for you to make the most of your time.

Day 5 - Sorrento
This morning start your drive by private motor coach from Rome to Sorrento. Along the way, stop for a typical lunch of local specialities and for a wine tasting. Later, your Travel Director will lead you on an orientation walking tour of Sorrento.

Day 6 - Sorrento
Today, explore the breathtaking Amalfi Coast and visit the iconic town of Positano. Join your Travel Director for an orientation walking tour of Positano, and later enjoy a free afternoon to relax on the beach, find the perfect wine bar, cafe or go shopping in the many shops and boutiques.

Day 7 - Sorrento
Free day to explore Sorrento, wander the cobblestone streets and enjoy the many cafes, restaurants and shops, or just relax on the beach! Or, take a ferry to Capri for the day (please note, ferry to Capri is not included in price, but can be easily arranged from Sorrento with the help of your Travel Director).

Day 8 - Taormina
This morning fly from Sorrento to Catania, Sicily. Take a private motor coach from the airport to your hotel in Taormina, the beautiful Sicilian ‘pearl of the Mediterranean.” Enjoy an orientation walking tour of this popular city, characterized by lively streets and breathtaking views. After some free time in the afternoon, enjoy your included group dinner in Taormina.

Day 9 - Taormina
This morning take an excursion by private motor coach to Valguarnera, and visit Villa Casale Roman Villa, a UNESCO site, which includes a collection of mosaics that is considered the finest anywhere in the Roman world. Later, return to Taormina, for a free afternoon and evening.

Day 10 - Taormina
Today, take an excursion by private motor coach to Vizzini. Your Travel Director will be avialable for an orientation tour, and to help with any advice, tips while you enjoya free day to explore on your own. Tonight, return to Taormina for your group’s farewell dinner.

Day 11 - Departure Day
Take a private motor coach to the airport where your Travel Director will assist the group with check-in for your return flights home.
