Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Departure & Arrival in Lima
Your journey begins as you depart for Lima, Peru—an adventure rich in history, culture, and remarkable landscapes. Upon arrival, meet your local Travel Director and transfer to your hotel. Settle in and unwind after your journey, preparing for the days ahead.
Day 2 – Lima: Coastal Views & Colonial Heritage
Begin your exploration in the seaside district of Miraflores with a visit to Love Park, offering sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Continue to Huaca Pucllana, an impressive pre-Columbian adobe pyramid that reveals Lima’s ancient past.
From there, step into the heart of Lima’s historic center. Walk through the Plaza Mayor and take in the grandeur of the Government Palace, Cathedral, and Santo Domingo Convent—each telling the story of Peru’s colonial era.
In the afternoon, head to the artistic district of Barranco. Visit the elegant Pedro de Osma Museum, housed in a beautifully restored mansion, and explore its collection of colonial art, silverwork, and religious artifacts. Enjoy some free time to stroll Barranco’s vibrant streets, browse galleries, or relax in a café.
Day 3 – Into the Sacred Valley
This morning, fly to Cusco and descend into the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a region of dramatic landscapes and deep cultural roots.
En route, stop at Awanacancha to meet alpacas and llamas while learning about traditional Andean weaving techniques. Continue to the lively Pisac Market, where you can browse artisan crafts and sample local flavors.
Arrive in the Sacred Valley and settle into your hotel, with time to relax and take in the surrounding Andean scenery before dinner.
Day 4 – Sacred Valley: Culture, Innovation & Community
Begin the day in Chinchero, a picturesque Andean village known for its rich textile traditions. Watch skilled artisans demonstrate natural dyeing and weaving techniques passed down through generations.
Continue to Moray, a fascinating archaeological site of circular terraces believed to have been an Incan agricultural laboratory.
Later, enjoy a meaningful visit with the Mullaka’s Misminay community. Participate in traditional farming activities and help prepare a home-cooked meal alongside local families, offering a deeper understanding of daily life in the Andes.
Day 5 – Ollantaytambo & Journey to Aguas Calientes
Explore the remarkable Incan town of Ollantaytambo, where ancient stone streets and a towering fortress offer insight into Incan engineering and strategic design.
In the afternoon, board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes. Relax as you travel through the Urubamba River valley, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and cloud forest.
After arriving, enjoy some time to explore the small town of Aguas Calientes, browse local shops, or simply relax before dinner.
Day 6 – Machu Picchu & Return to Cusco
Today’s highlight: Machu Picchu. Ascend to the Lost City of the Incas and explore its terraces, temples, and ceremonial spaces with your guide. Set high above the Urubamba River, the site offers both historical significance and breathtaking natural beauty.
After your visit, return by train and continue on to Cusco, where you’ll settle into your hotel in this historic city.
This evening, after your group dinner, is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Take time to explore Cusco’s lively streets, browse local boutiques and artisan shops, or simply soak in the atmosphere of this historic Andean city.
Day 7 – Cusco: History, Markets & Cuisine
Begin your day at a vibrant local market, where you’ll gather fresh ingredients for a hands-on cooking class. Learn to prepare traditional Peruvian dishes and enjoy a relaxed lunch featuring your creations.
In the afternoon, explore Cusco’s remarkable blend of Incan and colonial history. Visit Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Tambomachay, and Puca Pucara before heading to Korikancha, the Temple of the Sun. Conclude at Cusco’s Cathedral, home to an impressive collection of colonial art.
This evening offers additional free time after dinner to continue exploring Cusco at your own pace.
Day 8 – Andean Landscapes & Outdoor Adventure
Travel to the peaceful Huaypo Lagoon for a morning of kayaking surrounded by sweeping Andean views. Take in the stillness of the landscape and learn about the region’s natural environment.
Afterward, enjoy a leisurely lakeside picnic featuring fresh, local ingredients.
Return to Cusco with free time in the afternoon to explore, shop, or relax before your final evening in Peru.
Day 9 – Return to Lima
Transfer to Cusco airport for your flight back to Lima. Depending on flight timing, enjoy time to relax or explore before preparing for your return journey.
Day 10 – Departure
Depart for home, bringing with you unforgettable memories, deeper cultural insight, and a meaningful connection to Peru.
