Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Departure Day:
Overnight flight from El Paso to Madrid.

Day 2 - Toledo:
Arrive at Madrid airport and meet your travel director. Transfer to Toledo for hotel check-in. In the afternoon, enjoy an orientation walk around this former capital of Spain. Tonight, join your welcome dinner.

Day 3 - Toledo:
A local guide will introduce you to the highlights of Toledo. Visit the stunning Gothic cathedral, the Santa Maria la Blanca synagogue, and the Santo Tomé Chapel to admire El Greco's masterpiece, "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz."

Day 4 - Granada:
Drive through La Mancha towards Granada, with stops at the famous windmills in Consuegra and Puerto Lápice, where Don Quijote was "knighted." Arrive in Granada and take an orientation walking tour of the city.

Day 5 - Seville:
A local guide will lead a tour of the Alhambra Palace, including the magnificent Generalife Gardens and the Summer Palace. In the afternoon, continue to Seville. Dinner followed by an evening walking tour around the Barrio Santa Cruz.

Day 6 - Seville:
A guided tour of Seville's highlights includes the Plaza de España, the Cathedral, and the Royal Palace. The afternoon is free. Dinner.

Day 7 - Madrid:
Drive to Córdoba where a local guide will lead a tour of the Mezquita, a stunning example of Islamic architecture. In the afternoon, board the high-speed AVE train to Madrid.

Day 8 - Madrid:
A guided tour includes a visit to the Prado Museum to admire works by artists such as El Greco, Goya, and Velazquez. The afternoon is free. Suggestions include the museums of Sorolla, Reina Sofia, and Thyssen Bornemisza.

Day 9 - Madrid:
A half-day excursion takes you to El Escorial, the austere monastery/palace built by King Philip II in the 16th century. This massive complex includes a palace, monastery, church, school, and Royal tombs. Return to Madrid and join your farewell dinner.

Day 10 - Departure Day:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to El Paso.
