Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Depart for Italy
Board your overnight flight to Rome and begin your adventure in Italy.
Day 2 – Arrive in Rome
Touch down in Rome and meet your Travel Director after clearing customs. Transfer to your centrally located hotel via private motor coach. Later, enjoy a relaxing orientation walk through the city and cap off the day with a welcome dinner.
Day 3 – Vatican City & Tiramisu Experience
Start your day with a guided visit to Vatican City, the world’s smallest independent state and the residence of the Pope. Explore Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. In the afternoon, take a hands-on tiramisu-making lesson, learning the traditions of this classic Italian dessert. In the evening, marvel at illuminated Roman landmarks like the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Trevi Fountain.
Day 4 – Ancient Rome & Gladiator Games
Discover the ancient heart of Rome with a guided tour of the Roman Forum and the awe-inspiring Colosseum, a marvel that once held up to 87,000 spectators. Later, channel your inner gladiator with a unique interactive experience at Castrum Legionis, where you’ll don gladiator gear and participate in mock Gladiator Games.
Day 5 – Umbria & Assisi
Journey north to the scenic region of Umbria for an adventurous day of team building with rafting on the River Nera, the Tiber’s largest tributary. Afterward, head to the charming hill town of Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. Explore this iconic town on a guided walking tour, soaking in its rich history and beautiful views.
Day 6 – Florence & Tuscany
Travel to Tuscany for a guided tour of Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. With a local expert, visit highlights such as the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Ghiberti’s Baptistry Doors, and Piazza della Signoria. After exploring Florence, venture into the Tuscan countryside to check into your hotel and savor a traditional Italian dinner.
Day 7 – Organic Farming & Lucca
Start the day at a Tuscan organic farm, where you’ll learn about sustainable agriculture, harvest fresh produce, and participate in a farm-to-table cooking class. Enjoy the fruits of your labor with a homemade lunch. Later, explore the historic city of Lucca, known for its Renaissance walls and charming cobblestone streets. You’ll have free time to shop, stroll, and indulge in some gelato.
Day 8 – Bologna & Venice Mestre
En route to Venice, stop in Bologna to explore Piazza Maggiore, a grand plaza surrounded by Renaissance structures like City Hall, the Fountain of Neptune, and the Basilica di San Petronio. Spend the afternoon visiting a local school to meet Italian students and learn about their daily lives. Continue to Venice Mestre for your overnight stay.
Day 9 – Venice Exploration
Discover Venice, the “Queen of the Adriatic,” with a guided tour of iconic landmarks such as St. Mark’s Square, the Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, and the Rialto Bridge. Enjoy a gondola ride through the city’s winding canals. In the afternoon, attend a glass-blowing demonstration led by a Venetian master artisan. End the day with a farewell dinner, celebrating your Italian journey.
Day 10 – Departure
Say farewell to Italy and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
