Day by Day Itinerary
10-Day Teen Travel Summer Program: Reykjavik (3) and London (5)
Day 1: Departure Day
Your adventure begins! Board your overnight flight to Iceland, ready to explore the breathtaking landscapes and rich history of this unique destination.
Day 2: Arrival in Reykjavik and Blue Lagoon
Welcome to Iceland, the Land of Fire and Ice! Start your journey with a visit to the world-famous Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa where you can relax in warm, mineral-rich waters with your friends. Later, continue to Reykjavik, Iceland’s charming capital, for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: The Golden Circle
Explore Iceland’s stunning Golden Circle, beginning with a visit to the Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant, where you’ll learn about Iceland’s innovative use of geothermal energy. Next, stop at the Frioheimar Tomato Greenhouse to see how geothermal technologies are used to grow delicious tomatoes—and enjoy a taste of these local treasures! Continue to the Geysir Geothermal Area, with its bubbling hot springs and spouting geysers, and visit the breathtaking Gullfoss Waterfall, one of the most impressive in Europe. End the day at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you’ll stand on the dividing fault line between two tectonic plates and visit the site of the world’s oldest democratic parliament. Return to Reykjavik for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Volcanoes, Glaciers and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
Begin the day with a trip to the Lava Centre, an interactive exhibition showcasing Iceland’s volcanic activity over millions of years. Next, travel to Solheimajökull Glacier, where you’ll hike along stunning ice formations and learn about this incredible natural wonder. From there, visit the iconic Reynisfjara black sand beach, famous for its dramatic basalt columns, roaring Atlantic waves, and legends of sea stacks said to be petrified trolls. Take time to explore and capture photos of this unforgettable landscape. Spend the evening back in Reykjavik.
Day 5: Arrival in London and City Tour
This morning, say farewell to Iceland as you board your flight to London. Upon arrival, dive into the vibrant energy of the city with a guided tour of its most famous landmarks, including Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Hyde Park, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and Buckingham Palace. In the evening, enjoy a traditional “fish and chips” dinner to cap off your first night in England.
Day 6: Tower of London and West End Show
Step into history with a guided tour of the Tower of London, led by a Beefeater. Discover the fascinating stories of the Yeomen Warders, who guard the palace and the Crown Jewels. Spend the afternoon exploring Covent Garden and Leicester Square, where you’ll find unique shops and street performers. In the evening, experience the magic of live theater with a show at one of London’s iconic West End theaters.
Day 7: Oxford
Travel to the historic university town of Oxford for a guided walking tour through its charming cobblestone streets and centuries-old colleges. As home to the University of Oxford, the oldest university in the English-speaking world, you’ll experience a city steeped in academic tradition and architectural beauty. Wander past iconic landmarks such as the Radcliffe Camera, Bodleian Library, and the grand college courtyards that have shaped generations of scholars. Step inside one of the historic colleges to explore its halls and staircases, including locations recognizable from film and television, while soaking in the unique blend of history, culture, and student life that defines this remarkable British town.
Day 8: Windsor Castle
Visit the charming royal town of Windsor, home to the iconic Windsor Castle—the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. Step inside this historic residence, still used by the British monarchy, and explore its grand State Apartments, St. George’s Chapel, and beautifully maintained grounds. After your visit, enjoy free time to wander Windsor’s picturesque streets, lined with traditional shops, cafés, and views along the River Thames, offering a perfect blend of history, culture, and small-town charm.
Day 9: Greenwich, Thames Boat Ride, and Farewell Dinner
Begin the day with a scenic boat ride along the Thames to Greenwich, where you’ll visit the Royal Observatory and stand on the Prime Meridian, the longitudinal zero point separating the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. For lunch, explore the vibrant Borough Market, a hub of international food and local flavors. In the afternoon, visit the National Gallery to admire its world-class art collection. End the evening with a special farewell dinner, celebrating the incredible memories and friendships made during your journey.
Day 10: Departure Day
Say goodbye to your group and transfer to the airport for your flight home, bringing back unforgettable memories of your time in Iceland and England.
