Day 2: Arrival in Casablanca → Transfer to Rabat
Welcome to Morocco! After landing in Casablanca, travel by private motor coach to Rabat, the country’s coastal capital. Settle into your hotel, stretch your legs on a guided orientation walk, and get your first glimpse of Moroccan life. Tonight, enjoy a festive Welcome Dinner with your group to kick off the journey ahead.
Day 3: Exploring Rabat → Travel to Tangier
This morning, dive into Rabat’s rich cultural blend of French colonial design and Islamic architecture. Highlights include the 12th-century Hassan Tower and the Mohamed V Mausoleum, two of Morocco’s most important historical landmarks. Later, journey north to Tangier, a cosmopolitan port city where Africa meets Europe across the Strait of Gibraltar.
Day 4: Discovering Tangier
Experience the layered history of Tangier on a guided city tour. Wander through the colorful Medina, alive with local vendors and handwoven textiles, and climb to the Kasbah, a fortress that has watched over the city for centuries. This afternoon, connect with local traditions during a camel ride and storytelling session led by your guide.
Day 5: Tetouan → Chefchaouen
Travel east along the Mediterranean coast to Tetouan, where you’ll explore the UNESCO-listed Medina, known for its Andalusian influence and artistic heritage. Then continue to the stunning mountain town of Chefchaouen, famously known as the “Blue City.” Check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed group dinner in this peaceful setting.
Day 6: Chefchaouen Culture & Cooking
Wander Chefchaouen’s charming, blue-painted streets with a local guide, stopping at the Grand Mosque, the Kasbah gardens, and artisan markets. In the afternoon, visit the scenic Ras El-Maa waterfalls before diving into a hands-on Moroccan cooking class, where you’ll prepare your own dinner using traditional techniques and local ingredients.
Day 7: Volubilis → Moulay Idriss → Fez
Step back in time at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, known for its remarkably preserved mosaics and city layout. If time allows, visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world, built partly over the Atlantic Ocean. Check into your hotel and enjoy a special Farewell Dinner with your group as you reflect on your adventure.
