Your journey begins as you depart from Boston and fly to Washington, DC—the center of American government and a city filled with powerful stories, iconic landmarks, and national significance.
Upon arrival, meet your Program Director and transfer into the city. Begin your experience at The Wharf, a vibrant waterfront destination along the Potomac River. With its mix of restaurants, shops, and scenic views, it offers a great introduction to the energy and character of Washington, DC.
In the afternoon, head to the National Mall for an immersive introduction to the nation’s history. Visit the World War II Memorial, where students will learn about the global impact of World War II and the sacrifices made by millions. Continue to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, a deeply moving tribute etched with the names of over 58,000 service members, offering a powerful moment of reflection and remembrance.
After time to settle into your hotel and enjoy a group dinner, head back out for a meaningful evening experience at the Lincoln Memorial. Illuminated against the night sky, this iconic monument provides a powerful setting to reflect on Abraham Lincoln’s leadership during one of the nation’s most challenging times and his lasting legacy of unity and equality.
Day 2: Government, Identity & A Night at the Ballpark
Begin your day on Capitol Hill with a guided visit to the U.S. Capitol, where laws are debated and passed, shaping the direction of the country. Continue to the Library of Congress, one of the most beautiful buildings in Washington, DC and home to an extraordinary collection of knowledge, followed by the Supreme Court of the United States, where students will learn about the judicial branch and how laws are interpreted at the highest level.
Enjoy a pre-arranged bagged lunch on the National Mall, allowing time to relax while taking in views of the monuments and keeping the day running efficiently.
In the afternoon, visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture, one of the most impactful museums in the country. Through powerful exhibits, artifacts, and storytelling, students will explore the African American experience from slavery and the Civil Rights Movement to modern culture, gaining a deeper understanding of identity, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.
Continue to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum for a dedicated two-hour visit. This important and thought-provoking experience allows students the time and space to engage meaningfully with the history of the Holocaust, reflecting on themes of prejudice, responsibility, and the importance of standing up against injustice.
In the evening, head to Nationals Park to enjoy a Washington Nationals game (schedule pending). With dinner at the ballpark and the excitement of a live game, this high-energy experience offers a fun and memorable way to connect as a group after a meaningful day.
Day 3: Arlington, Science & American Stories

Students will learn about the sacrifices made by those who served in the armed forces, including a visit to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where they may witness the precision and honor of the changing of the guard.
Continue to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, a favorite for middle school students. With exhibits ranging from towering dinosaur skeletons to dazzling gems and interactive displays about ecosystems and human origins, this museum provides an engaging and hands-on learning experience.
