Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Atlanta & Evening in the Heart of the City

Arrive in Atlanta, a modern Southern metropolis where music, storytelling, and creativity pulse through every neighborhood. Meet your Tour Director and settle into your hotel before taking your first gentle walk through the city’s vibrant streets—where mural-covered walls, shaded parks, and skyline views welcome you to Georgia’s capital.

Spend the afternoon exploring two of Atlanta’s most iconic attractions. At the World of Coca-Cola, wander through immersive galleries that trace the global story of the world’s most beloved beverage brand. Sample sodas from around the world, step inside a working bottling line, and explore colorful exhibits that blend pop culture, history, and hands-on discovery.

Continue on to the Georgia Aquarium, one of the largest aquatic centers on earth. Walk beneath glowing underwater tunnels, watch manta rays glide past in slow-motion arcs, and stand in awe before the massive Ocean Voyager tank—home to whale sharks, the gentle giants of the sea.

In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner near Midtown, a lively district filled with the creative energy of artists, performers, and students. This first night together sets the tone for a week of learning, music-making, and adventure.

Day 2: University Music Workshop & Cultural Exploration

Begin the morning with breakfast before traveling to one of Atlanta’s respected universities for a specialized performing arts workshop. Under the guidance of university faculty, students dive into artistry and technique—whether through vocal performance, instrumental clinics, ensemble work, choreography, composition, audition preparation, or digital music production. This session offers a meaningful look into collegiate-level training and the world of professional performance.

For lunch, experience a beloved Atlanta landmark: The Varsity. Known as the world’s largest drive-in, this bustling institution has served locals, families, and travelers for decades. Its fast-paced charm and classic Southern comfort foods make it a memorable stop for student travelers.

In the afternoon, step into one of the city’s most powerful cultural institutions: the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Through interactive galleries, moving soundscapes, and vibrant artistic installations, students explore the stories of leaders, movements, and everyday citizens who shaped the path toward justice and equality. It is an inspiring, often emotional experience that ties history, humanity, and the arts together.

This evening, head to Ponce City Market, located within a restored historic building overlooking the BeltLine. Students can explore its collection of artisan eateries and creative shops before gathering on the rooftop at Skyline Park, where mini-golf, carnival-style games, and sweeping sunset views await.

Day 3: Performance at The Battery Atlanta & Evening Downtown

Begin your day with breakfast before loading equipment and traveling to The Battery Atlanta, a dynamic entertainment district where contemporary architecture, open-air plazas, and bold street art create an electrifying setting for your ensemble.

Here, students take the stage for their public performance at The Battery, sharing their music with visitors, families, and local Atlantans. The lively atmosphere—paired with excellent acoustics and modern outdoor design—makes this performance a highlight of the tour, and a perfect backdrop for unforgettable group photos.

Following lunch within the district, enjoy free time to explore. Wander through boutique shops, stroll the pedestrian promenades, or relax in the shade of vibrant public spaces, all steps from Truist Park.

In the late afternoon, travel downtown to Centennial Olympic Park, created for the 1996 Olympic Games. Walk through its 22 acres of fountains, gardens, and commemorative spaces, surrounded by some of Atlanta’s most iconic landmarks.

As twilight settles, board a climate-controlled gondola on the SkyView Ferris Wheel. From high above the city, take in sweeping nighttime views—glittering skyscrapers, historic districts, and the soft glow of Olympic rings illuminating the park below. It’s a beautiful and reflective end to your performance day.

Day 4: Chamber Music Experience & Departure

After breakfast and checkout, journey to the Woodruff Arts Center, home of the internationally acclaimed Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Here, students enjoy an intimate chamber music experience, featuring ASO musicians or guest artists. In this private session, students learn how an orchestra functions from the inside out, hear professional-level artistry up close, and engage in an open Q&A about technique, rehearsal discipline, and careers in music.

Enjoy a final lunch near the arts center before transferring to the airport.

Depart Atlanta enriched by new friendships, unforgettable performance moments, and the creativity of a city where music, history, and culture intertwine at every turn.
