Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome to Chicago

Arrive in Chicago—America’s vibrant Windy City, known for its world-class architecture, iconic skyline, deep-dish pizza, and thriving performing arts scene. Meet your Tour Director and head out to begin your first afternoon of exploration! Visit Millennium Park, home to sweeping green spaces, modern art installations, and the world-famous Cloud Gate sculpture (“The Bean”). Then continue to the Art Institute of Chicago, one of the nation’s premier museums, where students discover everything from Monet’s Water Lilies to global antiquities and modern masterpieces. This evening, enjoy a group welcome dinner.

Day 2: University Workshop + Cultural Immersion

Start the morning with breakfast at the hotel before transferring to a local university for a hands-on performing arts workshop. Led by university faculty, students dive into sessions that may include vocal technique, ensemble artistry, jazz improvisation, choreography, composition, audition prep, or music technology. Enjoy lunch on campus and a taste of student life. In the afternoon, go behind the scenes at the legendary Chicago Theatre with a guided tour that highlights its French Baroque architecture, historic performances, glittering marquee, and rich legacy in the arts. This evening, head to Navy Pier for a group dinner surrounded by lake views, live performers, and the waterfront atmosphere. Cap off the night with a ride on the Centennial Wheel, taking in panoramic nighttime views of Chicago’s skyline.

Day 3: Performance Day

After breakfast, travel to your Chicago performance venue. Possible sites include the Chicago Riverwalk Plaza, Daley Plaza, Navy Pier Performance Lawn, or a local school or community venue. Take the stage for your student performance, sharing your artistry in the heart of one of America’s most dynamic cities. With constant foot traffic, beautiful urban backdrops, and appreciative audiences, this becomes one of the defining moments of the trip. Enjoy lunch at Eataly or Water Tower Place, followed by free time along the Magnificent Mile—Chicago’s premier shopping and entertainment district. End the day with an evening visit to Skydeck Chicago at Willis Tower. Ride 103 floors up and step onto The Ledge, a glass balcony suspended above the city for an exhilarating finale.

Day 4: City Exploration & Departure

After breakfast and hotel checkout, spend the morning at the Museum of Science and Industry, one of the largest and most interactive museums in the country. Students explore hands-on exhibits, a WWII submarine, a simulated tornado, aviation displays, and immersive science experiences. Later depart, Chicago with incredible memories, new inspiration, and strengthened friendships after an unforgettable performing arts adventure.
