Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Departure

Board your overnight flight to Paris, France!

Day 2: Arrival in Paris

Arrive at Charles DeGaulle Airport, meet your local Program Director, and transfer to your hotel. Later, get acquainted with the city on an orientation walking tour. In the evening, enjoy a scenic Seine River cruise and watch the Eiffel Tower illuminate the night sky.

Day 3: Exploring Paris

Take a guided walking tour with a local expert to discover Paris’ iconic landmarks, including the Palais Garnier, Notre Dame, and the Latin Quarter. In the afternoon, visit the Louvre Museum, home to world-famous works like the Mona Lisa and The Winged Victory of Samothrace.

Day 4: Versailles and Montmartre

Travel by train to the stunning Palace of Versailles, where you’ll learn about life during the reign of Louis XIV while exploring the opulent palace and gardens. In the evening, visit Montmartre, a historic neighborhood known for its artistic heritage and sweeping views of the city.

Day 5: Art and Culture

Spend the morning with a local artist in a hands-on impressionist art workshop, exploring techniques inspired by masters like Monet. Later, visit the Orsay Museum to view its remarkable collection of 19th-century art.

Day 6: Madrid Arrival

Fly from Paris to Madrid and take an orientation walk through the city’s historic center, including the Plaza Mayor. In the evening, enjoy traditional Spanish tapas and then indulge in chocolate con churros at the renowned Chocolatería de San Ginés.

Day 7: Madrid’s Highlights

Begin the day with a guided tour of Madrid, including a visit to the Prado Museum to see masterpieces by artists like Velázquez and Goya. In the afternoon, explore Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to Real Madrid. If available, attend a soccer match (depending on game schedules, this would be an extra cost).

Day 8: Day Trip to Toledo

Travel to Toledo, Spain’s former capital, for a guided tour of its historic sites, including the Gothic cathedral, Santa María la Blanca synagogue, and Santo Tomé Chapel, where you’ll see El Greco’s famous painting The Burial of the Count of Orgaz. Return to Madrid for your farewell dinner!

Day 9: Departure

Bid farewell to Madrid and begin your journey home!
