Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Departure Day
Your European adventure begins! Board your overnight flight and get ready to experience the history, culture, and traditions of Spain, France, and England. Over the next twelve days, you’ll explore royal palaces, medieval cities, world-famous landmarks, and sites that helped shape the course of world history.

Day 2 – Welcome to Madrid
Bienvenidos a España! Upon arrival in Madrid, meet your Program Director and transfer to your centrally located hotel. Begin your journey with an orientation walk through Spain’s vibrant capital, where grand boulevards, historic plazas, and lively neighborhoods offer a perfect introduction to Spanish culture. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and get to know your fellow travelers.

Day 3 – Discover Madrid
Today, join a local guide to explore the rich history and traditions of Madrid. Visit landmarks such as the Royal Palace, the official residence of Spain’s royal family, Plaza Mayor, the historic heart of the city, and Puerta del Sol, one of Spain’s most famous gathering places. Stroll through Retiro Park, once reserved for Spanish royalty, and gain insight into Madrid’s evolution from a small medieval town into one of Europe’s great capitals

Day 4 – Toledo: The City of Three Cultures
Travel to the hilltop city of Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Spain’s most fascinating historical treasures. For centuries, Christians, Muslims, and Jews lived and worked side-by-side here, leaving behind a remarkable blend of architectural and cultural influences. Wander through narrow medieval streets, visit the magnificent Toledo Cathedral, and learn how this city played a vital role in shaping Spain’s history. Return to Madrid this evening.

Day 5 – Burgos & San Sebastián
Journey north through the Spanish countryside toward the Basque Country. Along the way, stop in Burgos, home to one of Europe’s most impressive Gothic cathedrals and the burial place of Spain’s legendary national hero, El Cid. Continue to the elegant coastal city of San Sebastián, known for its beautiful crescent-shaped bay, seaside promenades, and unique Basque culture. This evening, enjoy a stroll along La Concha Beach and experience one of Spain’s most beloved coastal destinations.

Day 6 – Bordeaux & Paris
Today, cross into France and visit Bordeaux, a city whose wealth and influence were built through centuries of trade and commerce. During a walking tour, discover elegant squares, grand architecture, and the beautifully restored historic center that has earned UNESCO World Heritage status. Later, board a high-speed TGV train and travel through the French countryside to Paris, arriving in the evening in the iconic City of Light.

Day 7 – Discover Paris
Join a local guide for an exploration of one of the world’s most celebrated cities. See iconic landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Élysées, and Notre-Dame Cathedral. Learn how Paris has influenced art, fashion, politics, and culture for centuries while discovering the stories behind its most famous monuments and neighborhoods.

Day 8 – The Palace of Versailles
Travel just outside Paris to visit the magnificent Palace of Versailles, the lavish residence of King Louis XIV, known as the “Sun King.” Explore the stunning Hall of Mirrors, royal apartments, and expansive gardens while learning how Versailles became a symbol of royal power and played a central role in French history. Return to Paris for an evening in the city.

Day 9 – Normandy, D-Day & Canterbury
Today is a powerful and memorable day as you travel through Normandy to visit the D-Day landing beaches. Learn about the events of June 6, 1944, when Allied forces launched one of the most significant military operations in history, helping to liberate Europe during World War II. Visit important sites that honor the bravery and sacrifice of those who served before continuing to Calais. Cross the English Channel by ferry to Dover and travel onward to the historic city of Canterbury.

Day 10 – Canterbury & London
Begin the day at Canterbury Cathedral, one of the most important religious sites in England and the seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Dating back nearly 1,500 years, the cathedral has played a central role in British history and was the site of the famous murder of Thomas Becket in 1170. After your visit, continue to London and begin exploring one of the world’s most influential cities.

Day 11 – Discover London
Today, join a local guide to explore the landmarks that have defined London for centuries. See Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and Tower Bridge while learning about Britain’s monarchy, government, and global influence. Along the way, discover how London has transformed from a Roman settlement into one of the world’s most dynamic and diverse cities. This evening, gather for a farewell dinner to celebrate your journey across Europe.

Day 12 – Departure Day
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home. As you head home, reflect on the incredible experiences you’ve shared—from Spain’s medieval cities and France’s cultural treasures to England’s historic landmarks and the stories that brought European history to life.
