Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Overnight Flight
Board your overnight flight to London.

Day 2 - London
Arrive into London, and transfer by private motor coach to your centrally located hotel. Later today, start exploring on an orientation walk around iconic landmarks such as Regent Street and Piccadilly Circus. In the evening enjoy a typical "fish and chips" dinner followed by a walk around Covent Garden.

Day 3 - London
Today, enjoy a guided tour the city, including highlights such as Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Hyde Park, St Paul's Cathedral and Buckingham Palace (including the Changing of the Guard if available). Later, meet with a former British Ambassador for an engaging discussion on peace and diplomacy. After dinner, attend a West End show!

Day 4 - London
Today, visit the Churchill War Rooms, the secret underground headquarters where Prime Minister Winston Churchill lived and worked during WWII, and get a glimpse of what life would have been like during the tense days and nights of the Second World War. Later, visit the Tower of London with a Beefeater as your guide. Also called Yeomen Warders, this force was charged with guarding the palace and the crown jewels.

Day 5 - Berlin
Depart London and fly to Berlin, Germany. Upon arrival transfer to your centrally located hotel. Take an orientation walking tour, and visit the ecelctic Schöneberg district of Berlin.

Day 6 - Berlin
Today, take a guided tour of Berlin, the city which served as the symbol of the Cold War and division of Germany. Visit Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, the Television Tower and the Memorial for Europe’s Murdered Jews, also known as the Holocaust Memorial. This memorial is a grid of stelae (2711 concrete slabs) on a sloping field accessible from all sides. It serves as a central place of remembrance and admonition and is supplemented by an underground information centre, containing the names of all known victims and details on the places of horror.

Day 7 - Berlin
Take a full day excursion to Buchenwald concentration camp, which was established on Ettersberg hill near Weimar, Germany, in July 1937. It was one of the first and the largest of the concentration camps within Germany's 1937 borders. Visit Weimar en route. and return to Berlin for dinner.

Day 8 - Berlin
Today, visit Cecilienhof site of the Potsdam Conference where the three victorious allies of WWII met in 1945. Continue with a visit to the House of the Wansee Conference the nazi meeting place, and visit Grunwald Memorial/Track 17 en route. Later this afternoon, have some free time for souvenier shopping, and join your farewell dinner.

Day 9 - Departure Day
Transfer to airport by private motor coach to Amsterdam airport for your return flight home.
