Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Thursday, March 18 | The Journey Begins!
Your music adventure begins as you depart for Indiana, Pennsylvania! Upon arrival, check into your hotel and get settled in for an exciting weekend combining music, education, history, and performances by two of the country’s outstanding orchestras. Enjoy the evening together and get ready for a full day on campus tomorrow.
Day 2 – Friday, March 19 | A Day of Music at Indiana University of Pennsylvania
Today is all about music! Spend the day at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), hosted by Dr. Jason Worzbit, for an immersive experience designed especially for your musicians. Participate in a clinic and master classes with university faculty, tour the campus, and get a firsthand look at college-level music education by sitting in on classes.
The day culminates with a special performance and side-by-side experience, giving students the opportunity to make music alongside university musicians. In the afternoon, depart for Pittsburgh and enjoy a group dinner before an unforgettable evening at the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Hear one of classical music’s most recognizable works performed live as the orchestra takes the stage for Beethoven’s legendary Symphony No. 5.
Day 3 – Saturday, March 20 | American History & the Philadelphia Orchestra
This morning, depart Pittsburgh and travel east to Philadelphia, where American history and world-class music come together. Explore the heart of historic Philadelphia with visits to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, two of the most important landmarks in the story of the United States.
After checking into your hotel, enjoy a group dinner at Buca D’oro Ristorante before another incredible evening of live music. Tonight, experience the renowned Philadelphia Orchestra performing Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7—a powerful finale to a weekend filled with exceptional musical experiences.
Day 4 – Sunday, March 21 | Philadelphia & Journey Home
Begin your final morning in Philadelphia with Mass at the beautiful Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, the largest Catholic church in Pennsylvania and one of the city’s most impressive landmarks. Following Mass, board your motorcoach and begin the journey home, bringing with you new musical inspiration, shared experiences, and memories from an unforgettable weekend together.
