Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Depart for Italy

Begin your ourney by boarding your overnight flight to Rome, filled with excitement for your Italian adventure.

Day 2 – Arrival in Rome

Arrive in Rome and meet your Travel Director. After checking into your centrally located hotel, enjoy an orientation walk through the historic city, taking in the beauty of the Roman streets. End the day with a welcome dinner where you’ll connect with your fellow Girl Scouts and reflect on the exciting experiences ahead.

Day 3 – Vatican City & Tiramisu Experience

Start the day with a visit to Vatican City, where you’ll explore the spiritual heart of the Catholic Church. Marvel at the Sistine Chapel’s stunning ceiling, painted by Michelangelo, and visit St. Peter’s Basilica, learning about its significance in world history. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in Italian culture with a hands-on tiramisu-making lesson. Learn how to make this delicious dessert from scratch and reflect on the power of tradition and creativity. In the evening, explore Rome’s iconic landmarks, including the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Trevi Fountain.

Day 4 – Ancient Rome & Gladiator Empowerment

Step back in time as you explore Ancient Rome with a guided tour of the Roman Forum and the mighty Colosseum. Learn about the strength and resilience of the gladiators who once fought in this iconic arena. In the afternoon, channel your inner warrior with an interactive Gladiator Games experience, where you’ll suit up in gladiator gear and take part in empowering mock games that build confidence, teamwork, and leadership.

Day 5 – Adventure in Umbria & Assisi

Travel to the scenic region of Umbria for a day filled with adventure and team building. Go rafting on the River Nera, working together with your fellow Girl Scouts to navigate the water and build trust. Afterward, visit the picturesque hill town of Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. Enjoy a guided walking tour of this historic town and reflect on the leadership and compassion of its most famous resident.

Day 6 – Florence & Tuscan Charm

Journey to Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. With a local guide, explore artistic and architectural wonders such as the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral and Piazza della Signoria. Learn about the powerful women and artists who shaped the city’s history. Afterward, venture into the Tuscan countryside, where you’ll check into your charming rural accommodation and enjoy a traditional Italian dinner, celebrating the flavors and warmth of Tuscany.

Day 7 – Organic Farming & Leadership in Lucca

Start the day with a visit to a Tuscan organic farm. Learn about sustainable agriculture and the importance of caring for the environment. Participate in a farm-to-table cooking class, harvesting fresh produce and preparing your own meal alongside experienced farmers. This hands-on activity will empower you with knowledge about sustainability and healthy eating. After lunch, explore the historic city of Lucca, strolling through its Renaissance streets and enjoying some free time for shopping and gelato.

Day 8 – Bologna & Gondola Ride

Travel to Bologna, known for its rich culinary traditions and vibrant piazzas. Explore Piazza Maggiore, home to the Fountain of Neptune and the Basilica di San Petronio. After lunch, head to Venice Mestre, arriving earlier to settle into your accommodations. Later, enjoy a gondola ride, gliding through Venice’s iconic waterways.

Day 9 – Venice: The Queen of the Adriatic

Discover the beauty of Venice with a guided tour of its most iconic landmarks, including St. Mark’s Square, the Basilica, and the Rialto Bridge. Embrace the magic of Venice with a gondola ride through the city’s famous canals, reflecting on the strength and innovation it took to build this city on water. In the afternoon, attend a glass-blowing demonstration led by a master artisan, learning the art of Venetian craftsmanship and gaining insight into the importance of patience and skill. End the day with a special farewell dinner, celebrating your empowering journey through Italy.

Day 10 – Departure

Say farewell to Italy as you transfer to the airport for your flight home. You’ll leave with new skills, friendships, and memories of an unforgettable adventure that empowered you through travel and hands-on experiences.
