Day by Day Itinerary

This trip takes you through Taiwan’s dynamic cities, breathtaking landscapes, and deep-rooted cultural traditions—all while connecting with locals, practicing language, and diving into hands-on experiences.

Day 1: Overnight Flight to Taipei

We’re kicking off our adventure with an overnight flight to Taipei. Get excited—it’s the start of an incredible journey!

Day 2: Arrival and Orientation in Taipei

After landing, you’ll meet your travel director and settle into Taipei. We’ll start with an orientation walk around the area, getting to know this bustling city. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner to celebrate our arrival and dive into Taiwan’s flavors.

Day 3: Taipei - Guided Visit and Jiufen Excursion

We’ll explore Taipei’s history and culture on a guided tour that covers the city’s colonial past and modern development. Then, we’re off to see the Dingshan Shell Temple, a unique spot made entirely of seashells and coral. Next, we’ll head to the mountain town of Jiufen to stroll through its famous Old Street and visit the Gold Museum. We’ll wrap up with stunning views from Taipei 101, one of the tallest buildings in the world.

Day 4: Alishan Scenic Exploration

Today, we’re headed to the Alishan National Scenic Area, with a stop along the way for a hands-on handicrafts workshop led by local artisans. As we travel through bamboo forests and Oolong tea plantations, you’ll get a chance to learn about Taiwan’s tea culture from local growers. We’ll end the day with a relaxing evening at our hotel.

Day 5: Alishan Forest Sunrise & Indigenous Culture

We’re up early to catch a breathtaking sunrise over Jade Mountain from the Alishan Forest Railway’s Zushan Line. We’ll also explore Zhaoping Park and the Giant Tree Trail, then visit the YuYuPas Cultural Park to meet the Tsou indigenous tribe and learn about their culture and history. We’ll end with dinner and an overnight stay in Chiayi.

Day 6: Tainan - Historical and Culinary Adventure

Today, we travel to Tainan, Taiwan’s ancient capital. We’ll visit historic spots like Chihkan Tower and Anping Fort and stroll down Anping Old Street, filled with local crafts and traditional Taiwanese snacks. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Winnie the Pooh Village, a fun spot with street murals featuring favorite cartoon characters. The day ends with an evening at Liuhe Night Market, where you can sample all kinds of delicious street food.

Day 7: Kaohsiung - Monastery and Folk Village Visit

Our day starts with a visit to Fo Guang Shan Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist temples in Taiwan. Then, we’re off to explore Meinong Folk Village in Kaohsiung, where we’ll meet artisans and see traditional crafts in action. We’ll finish the day with a visit to Lotus Lake, surrounded by beautiful temples, before returning to Tainan for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Sicao Green Tunnel & High-Speed Train to Taipei

We’ll take a peaceful boat ride through the Sicao Green Tunnel, shaded by mangroves and home to diverse wildlife. In the afternoon, we’ll hop on a high-speed train back to Taipei. Our last night ends with a farewell dinner to celebrate the week and share memories from our adventures.

Day 9: Departure to USA

It’s time to head home, but you’ll take with you incredible memories, new friendships, and stories to share from an unforgettable journey through Taiwan!
