Later in the afternoon, students will divide into their specialty areas for their first arts immersion experiences:

• Theatre students will visit Radio City Music Hall for a backstage tour, learning about the history of this legendary venue and the productions that have taken place on its stage.

• Visual art students will explore The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), home to one of the world’s most important collections of modern and contemporary art. Students will encounter iconic works by artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh, Warhol, and many others while discovering how groundbreaking artists have shaped the evolution of modern art.

• Music students will visit Lincoln Center, home to the New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, and New York City Ballet, where they will learn about the world-class performances and musical traditions that take place here.

This evening, come together as a group for a welcome dinner in the Big Apple before heading to the Empire State Building to take in breathtaking panoramic views of Manhattan illuminated at night.

Day 2 – New York City

Begin your morning with a guided walk along the High Line, a historic elevated railway that has been transformed into one of New York City’s most unique public parks. As you stroll through this elevated green space, you’ll see public art installations, striking architecture, and sweeping views of the Hudson River.

Next, visit Little Island, an innovative park built on sculptural pillars above the Hudson River. Designed as both a green space and performance venue, the park features winding pathways, gardens, and an amphitheater overlooking the water.

After exploring the park, head to Chelsea Market for lunch. Located inside a historic former factory building, Chelsea Market is one of New York’s most vibrant food halls, offering a wide range of dining options from local restaurants, bakeries, and international food vendors.

This afternoon, travel downtown to Battery Park to board the ferry to Liberty Island. Visit the Statue of Liberty, one of the most recognizable symbols of freedom in the world, before continuing to Ellis Island to explore the National Immigration Museum and learn about the millions of immigrants who began their lives in America here.

Tonight, experience the magic of Broadway as you attend a live theatre performance in New York’s legendary Theater District.

Day 3 – New York City

This morning, visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the largest art museum in the Western Hemisphere. Explore galleries spanning more than 5,000 years of art, from ancient civilizations to European masterpieces and contemporary works.

This afternoon, students will again divide into focus groups:

• Theatre students will attend an Off-Broadway matinee performance, offering a closer look at the creative productions and emerging talent that make New York’s theatre scene so dynamic.

• Visual art students will explore the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and discover its renowned collection of modern and contemporary art.

• Music students will visit the legendary Carnegie Hall, where they will learn about its rich musical history and the world-renowned performers who have taken the stage there.

This evening, the entire group will reunite for dinner before attending another unforgettable Broadway performance.

Day 4 – New York City

This morning, enjoy a Central Park Arts Walk, exploring one of New York City’s most iconic and inspiring green spaces. Stroll through areas such as Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, known for its beautiful architecture, scenic views, and talented street performers.

Students will have time to observe musicians, artists, and performers who often gather in the park, offering a unique glimpse into New York’s vibrant creative culture. Visual art students may take time to sketch the surrounding landscapes and architecture, while theatre and music students can experience the lively atmosphere of performance and expression that makes the park such a dynamic cultural space.
