Begin your adventure with a visit to the natural hot springs heated by the nearby Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, the largest active volcano in Guanacaste. In the evening, join your group for a welcome dinner, getting to know your fellow travelers and setting the stage for the week ahead.

Day 2: Exploring Rincón de la Vieja - Horseback Riding and Tropical Biodiversity

Begin your day with a horseback ride through lush landscapes, leading to the breathtaking Oropendola Waterfall, where clear blue waters flow into a canyon oasis. Along the way, learn about the local flora and fauna that thrive in this tropical environment. In the afternoon, hike through Rincón de la Vieja National Park, where you’ll encounter unique ecosystems that support rare and endangered species. Engage in discussions on conservation efforts and the importance of preserving biodiversity.

Today is packed with adventure and team-building activities. Start with a river tubing experience, where you’ll drift along tropical scenery and have the chance to observe the river’s ecosystem up close. In the afternoon, experience the forest from above as you zip-line through the canopy, learning about the layers of the rainforest and the wildlife that inhabits each one.

Participate in activities with Costa Rican students, practice your Spanish, play soccer and learn traditional dances. In the afternoon, visit Arenal Volcano National Park, where you’ll study the region’s active volcano and its environmental impact. Afterwards, explore the impressive La Fortuna Waterfall, where water plunges nearly 250 feet into a natural pool. End the day with a visit to an organic farm, learning about sustainable agriculture practices and preparing a traditional Costa Rican dinner in a hands-on cooking class.
