Day 1: Arrival & Introduction to Montreal’s History

Arrive in Montreal and check into a centrally located hotel. Begin the trip with a guided walking tour of Old Montreal, where students will explore the city’s fascinating history, from its French colonial origins to its evolution as a major trade hub. Key sites will include the Notre-Dame Basilica, Place Jacques-Cartier, and the Old Port. After dinner at a local bistro, students will participate in a thrilling evening Ghost Tour of Old Montreal, where they’ll hear eerie tales of the city’s past, learning about historical events through stories of haunted places and legends.

Day 2: Exploring Montreal’s Culture through Art and Science

Start the morning with a visit to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, where students will participate in bilingual art exploration, engaging with Quebec’s artistic history through interactive exhibits. After lunch in the lively Quartier des Spectacles, students will visit the Montreal Science Centre for hands-on exhibits that blend science, technology, and creativity. They’ll have the opportunity to engage with interactive displays on topics like space exploration and environmental sustainability. In the evening, students will enjoy a ride on La Grande Roue de Montréal, the city’s famous Ferris wheel, offering breathtaking views of the skyline and the St. Lawrence River.

Day 3: Historical Immersion & Culinary Workshop

The day begins with a visit to the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, where students will embark on an immersive tour of Montreal’s archaeological and historical sites. They’ll learn about the city’s Indigenous roots, French colonial era, and modern-day developments through hands-on exhibits. After the museum, students will head to Atwater Market for a culinary workshop, where they’ll learn to prepare traditional Quebecois dishes such as tourtière or maple syrup treats, practicing conversational French with local chefs. In the evening, students can explore the Old Port’s vibrant atmosphere, enjoying street performers and outdoor activities.

Day 4: Mount Royal Adventure & Departure

On the final morning, students will embark on a guided hike up Mount Royal, where they’ll enjoy panoramic views of the city from the Kondiaronk Belvedere. The hike will include a fun photo scavenger hunt, encouraging students to capture iconic Montreal landmarks while learning about the city’s natural history. After a final lunch, students will have free time to shop and explore the Plateau neighborhood before departing for the airport, reflecting on the history, culture, and hands-on experiences that made their Montreal adventure unforgettable.
