Day by Day Itinerary
11-Day Teen Travel Summer Program: Berlin (3), Dresden (1), Prague (3), and Vienna (2)
Day 1: Departure Day
Your Central European adventure begins! Board your flight, excited to explore the history, culture, and landscapes of Germany, Czechia, and Austria.
Day 2: Arrival in Berlin and Evening Orientation Walk
Welcome to Berlin! Meet your group and Program Director at the airport and transfer to your accommodations. In the evening, take an orientation walk through Berlin’s vibrant neighborhoods, bustling streets, and lively markets. End the day with dinner at a local restaurant, introducing you to German cuisine.
Day 3: Berlin – History, Street Art, and a Museum Visit
Start the day with a guided walking tour of Berlin, visiting iconic landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Wall, and the Reichstag. In the afternoon, explore Berlin’s artistic side with a street art workshop, learning about the city’s graffiti culture and creating your own art piece. Conclude the day with a visit to the Topography of Terror Museum, where you’ll gain insights into Berlin’s WWII history.
Day 4: Potsdam and Sanssouci Palace
Take a short train ride to Potsdam to explore its stunning palaces and gardens. Visit Sanssouci Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and stroll through its beautifully landscaped grounds. Return to Berlin in the evening for a group dinner, reflecting on your time in Germany’s dynamic capital.
Day 5: Train to Dresden and Explore Baroque Elegance
Travel by train to Dresden, a city celebrated for its Baroque architecture and artistic treasures. Take a walking tour of the historic Old Town, visiting landmarks like the Frauenkirche, Zwinger Palace, and Semper Opera House. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the Elbe River banks or visit one of Dresden’s world-class museums, such as the Green Vault. Stay overnight and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 6: Train to Prague and Evening Orientation Walk
Board a train to Prague, the enchanting capital of Czechia. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodations and take a walking tour of Prague’s Old Town, exploring the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, and the Gothic spires of the Church of Our Lady before Týn. Conclude the day with dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 7: Exploring Prague’s History and Creativity
Dive into Prague’s history with a guided tour of Prague Castle, visiting St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and Golden Lane. In the afternoon, tap into your creative side with a Czech glass-painting workshop, learning about the region’s famous glassmaking traditions. Spend the evening exploring Wenceslas Square or enjoying a group dinner in a traditional Czech tavern.
Day 8: Day Trip to Kutná Hora and Bone Church
Take a day trip to Kutná Hora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its medieval history and stunning architecture. Visit the fascinating Sedlec Ossuary, also known as the Bone Church, adorned with the skeletons of thousands. Explore St. Barbara’s Church and wander the town’s cobblestone streets before returning to Prague in the evening.
Day 9: Train to Vienna and Evening Welcome Walk
Travel by train to Vienna, Austria’s elegant capital. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodations and take a welcome walk through Vienna’s historic center, exploring its stunning architecture, lively squares, and charming streets. End the evening with a group dinner, introducing you to Austrian cuisine.
Day 10: Vienna – History, Music, and a Strudel-Making Workshop
Start the day with a guided tour of Vienna, visiting landmarks like St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofburg Palace, and the Ringstrasse. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in Austrian traditions with a strudel-making workshop and lunch, learning how to prepare this iconic dessert. Wrap up your journey with a classical music performance, celebrating Vienna’s rich musical heritage. Please note, on this day, lunch is included, and dinner will be on your own.
Day 11: Departure Day
Say goodbye to your local Program Director and the unforgettable experiences of your Central European adventure. Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.

Teens aged 13–18 can sign up for this program on their own or with friends. They’ll join a group of like-minded students from across the United States, led and chaperoned by experienced, passionate, and globally-minded U.S.-certified educators.
