Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Belize – Island Arrival in San Pedro

Touch down in Belize City and meet your travel director before hopping on a scenic water taxi to the colorful island town of San Pedro. Settle into your beachfront hotel, get to know your group, and enjoy some time exploring town before a festive welcome dinner by the water.

Day 2: Snorkeling the Barrier Reef + Local Culture

Dive right in—literally! Head to Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley, where you’ll snorkel among vibrant coral reefs, sea turtles, rays, and even nurse sharks. Later, kayak through coastal mangroves and visit a local chocolate-making workshop to learn how cacao goes from bean to bar (and taste it too!).

Day 3: Wildlife Encounters + Inland Journey to San Ignacio

Take a water taxi back to the mainland and travel west toward the rainforest town of San Ignacio. Along the way, stop at the Community Baboon Sanctuary to spot endangered Black Howler Monkeys, then explore The Belize Zoo, home to native species like jaguars and tapirs. Cap it off with a swim in a cenote at St. Herman’s Blue Hole National Park before arriving in San Ignacio for dinner.

Day 4: Conservation + Cave Exploration

Start your day at the Green Iguana Conservation Project, where you’ll get hands-on with Belize’s reptilian residents and learn about preservation efforts. Then, gear up for one of the most unforgettable adventures of the trip—the Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave. Wade and climb through a cave filled with ancient Mayan artifacts, ceremonial chambers, and sparkling rock formations. Return to San Ignacio for a relaxing evening.

Day 5: Ancient Wonders of Tikal (Guatemala)

Cross into Guatemala for a full-day exploration of Tikal National Park, one of the most impressive and iconic Mayan archaeological sites in the world. Hike through jungle trails, climb towering pyramids, and learn about the civilization that once ruled here. Wildlife sightings (like monkeys and toucans) make this day even more epic. Return to San Ignacio for the night.

Day 6: Waterfalls + Welcome to Placencia

Say goodbye to the jungle and head south toward the beach town of Placencia. On the way, stop at Billy Barquedier National Park for a refreshing waterfall hike. Arrive in Placencia and kick off the coastal leg of your adventure with free time to swim, relax, or explore this charming fishing village.

Day 7: Jaguars, Jungles & Ziplining Thrills

Venture into the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, the world’s first jaguar preserve, for a guided jungle hike and river swim. In the afternoon, soar through the treetops on an exciting zipline course, then enjoy some well-earned beach time back in Placencia.

Day 8: Scarlet Macaws + Garifuna Culture

Head to Red Bank, a tiny village known for its seasonal flocks of Scarlet Macaws—a must-see for bird lovers and nature fans. Then, dive into Garifuna culture with a hands-on drumming or cooking workshop in nearby Seine Bight Village. Round out the day with beachside downtime and local treats.

Day 9: Wildlife by Water + Farewell in Belize City

Take a morning Monkey River tour to explore winding mangroves and spot manatees, crocodiles, howler monkeys, and more. Then it’s back to Belize City for your final night, with a celebratory farewell dinner to reflect on an incredible journey.

Day 10: Departure Day – Until Next Time!

Say goodbye to Belize and your travel crew as you head to the airport for your flight home—bringing back unforgettable memories, new friendships, and a deeper connection to the world.
